Mark Lenz, Of

- MARK LENZ focuses
his practice on public finance, real estate and public law. His
client base includes private sector developers seeking public
financing to support private sector projects.
Mark’s experience covers a wide range of real estate and
public finance matters. He has represented for profit and not-for-profit
entities in the development of multi-family and senior housing,
often utilizing tax credits and financing (low interest loans
and grants) provided by governmental entities and private foundations.
He also represents developers undertaking mixed-use (commercial
and residential) projects and industrial projects utilizing tax
increment financing (TIF), grants and low-interest loans. Mark
also assists developers seeking to undertake “green”
or sustainable projects, advising clients on how to comply with
applicable government regulations, structuring construction contracts
and identifying incentives provided by the public and private
sector.
Mark is actively involved in many community and civic organizations.
Mark is a member of the Board of Directors of the West Michigan
Sustainable Business Forum. He is also a member of the Community
Development Committee of The Resurrection Project, the U.S. Green
Building Council chapters in Chicago (State and Local Government
Committee) and West Michigan, the West Michigan Environmental
Action Council and the Illinois Nature Conservatory. Mark is a
former member of Mayor Heartwell’s Advisory Committee on
the Environment, City of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
